he Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) has been dissolved with effect from tomorrow
over corruption charges. The gazette notification has been sent for print,
Western Province Chief Minister Prasana Ranatunga said.
Ranatunga said that a special commissioner has been appointed to oversee the
functions of the CMC.
