UN Expert Panel originates today regarding Sri Lankan war crimes -
United Nation Organization’s Secretary General Ban Ki Moon will announce the three members Expert Panel today regarding the war crimes held last year in Sri Lanka. It is much expected that an Indonesian Diplomat and an Austrian Diplomat would be among the panel members. But the accurate working plans and the duties were not still published.
According to diplomatic sectors, the panel will be appointed as a instrument to the war crime activities. According to the estimations of United Nation Organization, about 7000 civilians has been killed during last year in Sri Lanka due to war within a period of four months. UN inform Sri Lankan government had made the announcement that they had won the Tamil Eelam Liberation tigers, but such amount of people had been killed before their official announcement.
Meanwhile Ban Ki Moon’s political division secretary Lynn Pascoe to had visited Sri Lanka last week and had informed that the Expert Panel will be much assistance to the Sri lankan government. But the government had rejected the request, and had informed that they will not have any connection with this expert panel. Minister Kehieliya Rambukele said, in regard to this Expert Panel movement today an urgent meeting has been arranged by Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapakse.
